What the AI does, tool by tool
The AI here is a set of separate tools inside the editor, each with one job. None of them writes a resume for you from nothing. They work on what you give them, and you choose what to keep.
- Inline AI assistant. Click into your summary or a bullet and choose Improve, Recruiter view (short notes, no rewrite), Inspire me (three alternative drafts) or type your own instruction. You see the change before anything is replaced. Free: 5 uses a day.
- Bullet generator. On a job in your experience section, describe what you did in plain words and get achievement-style bullets to tick and add to that job. Free: 3 a day, and 2 per CV.

What the AI will not do
The rewriting tools are set up to work from your own words. The assistant is instructed not to add numbers, employers or achievements that are not already in the text it is rewriting, so a bullet with no figure gets a rewrite with no figure. The bullet generator uses only the numbers you type into it. When you tailor a CV to a job advert, skills that appear only in the advert are shown as "Suggested, confirm you have it" and are never added for you.
Nothing changes on your CV until you accept it. Language models still get things wrong, so read each suggestion and keep only what is true. And no tool can promise you an interview: a clearer CV helps, but the job, the other applicants and the employer's process are out of anyone's hands.
What the AI sees, and what happens to your data
When you use an AI tool, the text it needs is sent to OpenAI, the AI provider named in our privacy policy, to produce the result. That might be one bullet, your summary or, for the optimiser and tailoring, the whole CV. Interview prep leaves out your name and contact details.
Your CV is never sent to Google, never used to target ads and never sold. Files you upload for import are deleted once your CV is filled in, and a job advert you paste for tailoring is deleted 180 days after you last worked on that tailored CV. You can delete your account from the settings page at any time. The details are in our privacy policy.
Who it is for
It suits people who know what they did but find it hard to say on paper: career changers rewording old experience for a new field, people whose CV reads like a list of duties, and anyone writing in a second language who wants plainer phrasing. It helps less if you want someone to decide for you what to include. The tools improve wording; they do not know which of your achievements a particular employer cares about most. That judgement is still yours.
A worked example
Jordan, a fictional customer service adviser, has this bullet: "Responsible for handling customer complaints by phone and email, and wrote the team's returns guide." The generic content detector flags "responsible for" as a duty rather than a result.
Jordan clicks the bullet and chooses Improve. The suggestion reads: "Resolved customer complaints by phone and email, and wrote the returns guide the team uses." It has no number, because the original had none. Recruiter view might add a note that the bullet would be stronger with the volume of complaints, without guessing one.
Jordan knows the team handled about 40 a week and adds that by hand: "Resolved around 40 customer complaints a week by phone and email, and wrote the returns guide the team uses." The AI did the rewording; the fact came from Jordan.
